Last Week At A Glance 😎

Hello my lovely friends 💕

Funny story…funny, weird – you decide 😁

Two, three nights ago I dreamt about this very post. I dreamt the title, that I wrote it, the pictures were there. It was so vivid, that I honestly thought it was done.

And I was a little bit sad 😢 that no one liked it!

So today, while scrolling through all your wonderful posts, I wondered where my ‘Glance at last week’ disappeared to.

Well, you know the end of that story. 😆

So…without further ado – here it is (I hope 😉)

Monday…

I finished writing the pattern for my next workshop. It’ll be a ‘Lacy Scarf’. I decided to introduce three different stitches that make a gorgeous lace pattern.

See…

Tuesday…

Michele (my partner in crime) and I met to set the date and talk about the details. We agreed on everything, so that was done fast 😁 and we got to enjoy our lunch while visiting with our friend Lili 😍

We forgot to take a picture…so I give you this. Just pretend it’s us 😆

Wednesday…

I decided I need new sneakers. That’s easier said than done…ugh! I must’ve tried on every pair in the store. A big shoutout to my friend Carole – she was very patient. 😊

Just as I was about to give up, I spotted a pair -in my size!!! – at the bottom of the clearance shelf. And they fit, and are very comfy! Score! 😎

One question remains though…why do all ‘Asics’ in 3 different sizes (6.5, 7, 7.5) fit the exact same way? Just a tad too small 😕 It’s quite puzzling.

Then, of course…Lunch! 😆 Good thing I only eat salads 😜

Thursday…

Just an ordinary day 🙂 Dog walking, ‘breaking in the sneakers’ speed walking, and – no, not lunch 😁 – grocery shopping.

I finished the picot edging on the last sample scarf while watching the latest ‘ Garage Sale Mystery’. Those are so much fun! Do you watch?

The workshop flyer! I almost forgot to tell you about the flyer.

Here it is…

We have a few places in mind where we could distribute them…wish us luck 😊

Friday…

Started as a pretty normal day…until the kitchen sink clogged up. ☹️ Without warning- it just didn’t wanna anymore. Pffft

And nothing worked. We plunged, and poked the clog with wire. I even bent a wire hanger out of shape…nothing. Snake wouldn’t fit. Drano didn’t do diddlysquat.

Just as we were about to call someone, hubby poked it again…and there it went. Whatever it was – it’s gone.

I did get a little bit of crocheting done. I started to look into Freeform Crochet 😍

It is so much fun. Pretty perfect for yours truly! 😁 Last years Puzzle Poncho had a few elements in it, now I did a sampler of different Scrumbles

Very promising! Don’t you think?

Saturday…

…is Farmers Market Day! Michele has a table at one close by. She sells her son’s wonderful artisan breads, and had the great idea to make a little display for our workshop.

Looks great! Doesn’t it? I would wanna sign up 😁

Sunday…

After a yummy lunch at the Casino Buffet, hubby went to poker and I played with Freeform Designs 😍

I’m really loving it! ☺️

That’s all! Overall a pretty good week I’d say. 💃🏻

I’m sending you Smiles 🙂 Hugs 🤗 and Love 💗 for a wonderful week!

A Fabulous Workshop 🙂

Hello my lovely friends 💕 I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful weekend doing the things you love! 😍

Today I’d like to tell you about the workshop my friend Michele and I hosted…emmm 3 weeks ago…I can’t believe it’s been that long already! 😳

Long story short – we had a lot of fun! 😃

Ha…just kidding – I will tell you a little more. 😊

Two days prior Michele and I met for a ‘working lunch’ to make sure we didn’t miss anything.

And then the day was here! Off to Weston – with wobbly knees and a pounding heart (I was a bit nervous 😜) But Michele has a very calming presence, so things got better as soon as I got there. 😍

Three lovely ladies came for a day of crochet…and crochet we did. For 5 hours!

Sprinkled with stories about past projects, Grandma’s needlework, travels, and whatever else came to mind, and laughter the time just flew by.

We met at ‘ Florilegium’, a wonderful Yarn/Fiber Art store in Weston, MO

The lovely owner generously opened the doors of her beautiful ‘Creative Cottage’ to us

Isn’t it lovely? Thank you, Gretchen! 🙂

We had a Crochet Expert, an advanced crocheter, and a beginner. The perfect mix!

3 projects were on the agenda – the ‘Chilly Cowl’, a Granny Square dishcloth, and a flower.

Amy’s goal was to finish all 3 projects…and she did! 😃

Here she is showing off her Chilly Cowl

Julie made a lovely Cowl

…and almost finished her flower. But she had a pattern sheet, so she finished it at home no problem! 😊

Mary didn’t like working with the cotton yarn, so she picked a gorgeous skein of Malabrigo wool (my personal favorite 😍) and started a winter cowl…never too early for that. Let’s hope she doesn’t run out of patience before she finishes! That’s easily done when you first start out with hook and yarn.

So everyone had a great time, and we all agreed that we’re definitely doing this again!

Music to my ears. ☺️

Michele and I are busy planning the next project. Rest assured – you will hear about it when we know more! 😆

Now go run, have a fabulous weekend! 😎

Until next time 💕

My first ever NEWSLETTER … eek – please be patient with me :)

Hello all ~ It is Monday! Do you dread it, or do you look forward to it? I personally love it, because I’m in the shop on weekends…so Monday is my ‘your Saturday’.

So…Monday, new week, new possibilities – I thought I try on something new for size. A newsletter! Let’s hope I have enough news to fill this page, to keep you entertained!

  1. After I finished the wallhanging (did you read about it?) I wandered around the house…a little aimless… didn’t really know what to do … so I went into my studio, and searched my bead stash for inspiration…and I came across some beautiful gemstone beads in black and grey hues. I paired them with memory-wire to make a wrap bracelet. I love memory-wire bracelet, because you get the stacked look, without having to put on multiple bracelets. Very time consuming – time we don’t have in the morning…Thanks snooze-button! 😉 Here are pictures of the finished bracelet and a close-up of the pretty beads

2. I replanted my succulents – those poor things were really suffocating in their little plastic pots they came in. Now they’re enjoying the beautiful (almost fall-like) days grouped on the patio table….and I enjoy them!

3. I designed a bracelet for my next workshop, and actually set a date!

If you’re in the area (Weston, MO) stop in to say ‘HI’ and participate!

4. I put up a partition in the store, but the drapes look a bit … well, blah! I’m planning to embellish them with various one-strand creations. One of them is Macramé – haven’t done that in ages. I remembered seeing a how-to in one of my clever craft books. I went looking for it, found it (!!!!) – it was a good day- , got out my hemp, and wood beads and started knotting. It actually looks like it’s supposed to…hehehe…told you it was a good day!

Now I have more creations to create, plans running around in my head to be put on paper, and dusting…need to dust! 😀                                                                                                                                                                                            So I let you go for now – please look for the next post/newsletter! As always, I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Love    ~Tina xoxo
