What’s New You Ask? Okay, I’ll Tell Ya πŸ˜

Hello my lovely friends πŸ’•

How are you on this fine day? And a fine day it is! 🌞 What a difference 40 degrees make! 😜

I already walked the dogs, so I can chat with you without getting interrupted 😍

I hope I won’t bore you too much (or, preferably, not at all 😊) but today’s post is a ‘sorting my thoughts, WIPs, ideas’ kinda deal.

Do you ever have so many things swirling around in your head that you, in the end, don’t do any of them? But instead crochet Granny Squares that have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with anything? Show of hands please πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Yep, this happened last night πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

And since there’s a Meme for everything…😁

img_3717
But – today’s another day, and, hopefully, this will help me get everything organized! πŸ€“ Thanks for letting me bend your ear! 😘 Ear? Eyes? Hmm…you know what I mean!

So here’s everything in a nutshell…

First some things that actually did get done…

I finished another purse…well, I still have to sew in the lining

Things I learned while making the purse:
1. Pay attention to what you’re doing! Trying to solve a murder alongside “Monk” while crocheting the base, will lead to a tote, not a purse! πŸ˜‹
2. One skein of (gorgeous, beautiful) handspun yarn (72 yards) is just barely enough for 4 rounds! 😳
3. I love the “Bobble Stitch”! 😍

This next one made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside
I made a Puzzle Poncho for my lovely friend Lili

And these are some of the things that are swirling…

The ‘ Puzzle Sweater’ is coming along quite nicely – of course, now that it’s getting warmer πŸ˜…

img_3791

Since my waist is nowhere near her’s, I will have to finish it away from the Mannequin πŸ˜„

The start of a new poncho…

Last week I came across this   ⬇️ on Facebook.Β I got all swooney, thinking they’re gorgeous Agate slices. Nope – they’re Puzzles. How cool is that?!

And then my ‘Crochet Brain’ kicked in, and I thought “This design would make a beautiful blanket”! Can you see it?
So I got started on that – different ideas came to life

img_3796

Or maybe a pillow? Or a Purse? I’m still mulling it over.

Aaaand last but not least I now also have to figure out what I’m going to do with the Granny Squares from last night! 😜

Oh….one more thing! Since I even skipped ‘Your Weekend Chuckle’ last weekend – here’s my favorite one! I don’t know why, but it made me laugh ’til I cried

img_3768

Okay – now I’ll get off my soapbox, and let you carry on with your life!

I’m sending SmilesΒ πŸ™‚ HugsΒ πŸ€— and LoveΒ πŸ’• your way!

The Stubborn Granny Square – Problem solved πŸ˜

Hello my lovely friends πŸ’•

Now – as promised – I’m gonna show you what I did with the yellow/grey Granny Squares that didn’t wanna play well with others πŸ˜‹

The plan was to make another Granny Square Cardigan

or a Granny Square Poncho. But no matter what color I tried, nothing would match the yellow/grey. πŸ˜•

See what I mean?

On the post in which I was whining about my predicament, the wonderful Brenna @ Crochet 539 advised me to set them aside, and wait for inspiration. So I did. 😊

Then, a few days ago, I received a yarn order, and in it was a fabulous, delicious yarn – Red Heart’s ‘Unforgettable’ in ‘ Sunrise’ 😍

As I was fingering it, my mind went to the squares, tucked away in the Granny-Square-Pile…yes there is such a thing in my house 😜

And I thought, well, if I can’t match it, I gotta go the crazy route, and do the unconventional, the unexpected. And you know how I love to go down that road. 😁

So I put the two together. My daughter just raised one skeptical eyebrow 😏 but didn’t say anything. I didn’t hate it, so I started the square. If it were an absolute no-no, like the other ones, I could always add it to the pile. 😁

But see what happened…it worked! πŸ˜ƒ At least I think so! What do you think? Yay or Nay?

I did add the black to make the transition more pleasant, and I love how it now looks a bit like stained glass. 😊

Because I like the yarn so much, I made a matching Infinity Scarf

As it happens so often, I do wanna keep it. But, if I constantly do that my Etsy store will have nothing but dust bunnies and tumbleweed in it! πŸ˜†

So I’m still on the fence about it.

I’d love to hear what you think! 😍 Please let me know…I’m looking forward to it – I think πŸ˜‰

Sending Smiles πŸ™‚ Hugs πŸ€— and Love πŸ’• your way.

In the Spotlight – The (finished!) Puzzle Poncho πŸŽ‰πŸ˜ƒπŸŽ†

Hello my lovely friends πŸ’•

Would you please raise your glass…

and help me celebrate the completion of the Puzzle Poncho! 😍

…with cozy (attached) Infinity Scarf

Some details…

The ends are all tucked away…finally! It happened again this morning – just when I thought I got them all, I discovered another cluster. But now, about an hour and a half later, I reeaaaly got them all (I checked all around, inside and out) twice 😜

I will bask in the feeling of satisfaction for a bit. But, as we all know, there is no rest for the wicked – I do have a few WIPs to tend to. One is near completion, let’s talk about that tomorrow! 😁

A little hint – I finally figured out what to do with the ‘They-don’t-match-anything’ yellow/grey Granny Squares

Thanks to the advice from the lovely Brenna from the wonderful blog Crochet 539 – she had told me to set it aside, and wait for a flash of inspiration. 😊 I did just that, and I am quite pleased with the result.

I hope you will join me tomorrow for some WIP talk, and some random ramblings. 😁

Until then πŸ’•

WiPs β€˜n Things

Hello my lovely friends πŸ’•

I really dropped the ‘blogging-ball’ last month. πŸ™ƒ So one of the things I have to change – not calling it a resolution … ’cause they tend to come here to die 😜 – is getting back into the rhythm, writing more, visiting with you! I did miss you all! 😍

It’s already the 6th, so I am getting a late start, but we can call this a Trial Month, I guess 😁

It’s ok… I read it on the Internets, so it’s the truth!πŸ˜‚

Besides the usual holiday craziness last month, there were a few things that kept me busy, leading to falling behind in some endeavors, put things on the back burner.

One of the ‘distractions’ was a custom order for a poncho and a hat

The lovely lady that gave Feronia a new home, contacted me and ordered another Poncho and a Tassel Hat…this time in all black 😳 You know me… I love my things crazy and colorful. So it was definitely a challenge. A few times I had to fight the notion to put a pink stitch in. Just one…right here πŸ˜‚

But – I fought it, and it was worth the struggle. She looooved it! 😍

In between all the Christmas ‘duties’, presents, and planned projects, the son of dear friends of ours and his wife welcomed a baby boy into their midst…a little early. But he was close to 8 pounds – so he was ready to meet the world 😍 We think he wanted to see the Christmas tree 😁 and his ‘ Granny Square Blanket’ 😍

Then this one here took a lot of my time… The Puzzle Poncho 😊

If you remember – probably not, since you have a life…so let me jog your memory – it started as a Cowl. While I was working on that, and really liking it, my mind wandered to the possibilities of all things fabulous that would look great in this color combo.

I decided on another puzzle piece…’cause I really enjoy making small pieces and putting them together.

After it took shape I worked on it like a woman possessed 😁

And it’s done! 😊

Well, almost – the neckline will be an Infinity Scarf…it’ll look like a loose turtleneck, and the dreaded ends. Still gotta weave in some ends. 😫 I’ve woven in a ton already. Every time I think I’m done I discover another cluster.

It sure is a crazy piece…I can’t wait to wear it out and about! πŸ™ƒ

Also…some ‘ Bohemian Queen’ cowls are close to being finished. Miss Katherine (⬆️ the one with the hat) is giving you a sneak peek 😊

That’s all the news from the hook and drawing board. I’m looking forward to showing you the finished pieces, and some new WIPs that are – for now – just floating around in my head. 😍

Have a wonderful weekend πŸ€—

FiPs, WiPs, and a Tip πŸ€“

Hello my lovely friends πŸ’• Thanks so much for stopping by, even though you must have felt a bit abandoned over the last few weeks. ☺️

I’ve been quite busy with hook and yarn, and that’s what today’s post is about.

FiPs…I’m pretty certain that that’s not a ‘thing’ 😁 It just sounds so nice in the title. I decided – for the sake of a pretty headline – that it will stand for ‘Finished Projects’.

And here they are…

The ‘Blue Skies’ Slouchy Hat

The ‘Falling Leaves’ Infinity Scarf (one of my personal favorites) 😊 If you like a closer look – it is now (with more pictures) in my brandnew Etsy Shop And a ‘ Newsboy/Cabbie’ Hat- Bear seemed to like it…even if he looks a bit grouchy πŸ˜‰

The WiPs The Puzzle Poncho is coming along

The ‘Flower Meadow’ has been a bit neglected lately – but it moved toward the top of the list

New is another ‘Puzzle’ – I just don’t seem to be able to move away from them 😏

A few weeks ago I bought these gorgeous Caron cakes

They’re so pretty and beautifully soft…they are going to be something luscious for me! 😁

First I thought ‘Poncho’ – then I decided that I would much rather have a fabulous, funky sweater. With different stitches and shapes. This is what I have so far

One side and the start of the sleeve

I don’t know what happened here πŸ˜• I followed the instructions, double checked every stitch, and number…but it’s quite ‘ruffly’. I do love it though, so it can go to the bottom of the sweater, and be a quirky finish that just hangs about – probably surrounded by fringes. πŸ€“

I see some trial-and-error frogging in my future, but hopefully it’ll -eventually- turn into something pretty. 😍

That’s all for ‘WiPs in pictures’. I do have to make some smaller things for the store – like hats, headbands, dishcloths…but I don’t have anything to show there yet. 😊

A Tip for my Crochet Friends

Hopefully it’ll help you win every game of ‘Yarn Chicken’ 😁

Oh…one more thing – please join me in a ‘Dance of Joy’

I had my first crochet sales last week πŸ˜ƒ

These pretties found a new home…

Yes…’Feronia’ went to live with someone else. My daughter’s first question was “Was the lady worthy?” πŸ˜‚ And I can wholeheartedly say ‘Yes’! πŸ’•

This hat went home with her too

And ‘ Purple Delight’ is now warming the neck of a lovely friend of mine 😍

So…that’s all the news for today ☺️

I hope to see you again soon πŸ’•

An Oversized Poncho ~ The Pattern πŸ€“

Hello my lovely friends πŸ’• Here it is – the pattern you’ve been waiting for…well, some of you anyway 😁

Feronia πŸ’–img_2860-1

and

Persephone πŸ’š

Ready? Let’s do this! πŸ™‚

You will need:

– 5 Red Lion Brand ‘Mandala’ cakes ~ 5 because I noticed that some of the colors don’t run as long in some cakes as in others…so you will need to dig into the 5th one to supplement

Hook Size G (4.25mm)

Stitch GuideΒ
MagicΒ Ring: Form a loop with your first color, pull yarn through (from the skein), ch1

Β

Corner: 3dc, ch3, 3dc, ch1

PatternΒ
Work into the ring – ch3, 2dc, ch3, Β *3dc, ch3 – repeat from * twice. Join with a slipstitch to the first dc. You will have a square. Pull the middle string to close the hole.

Round 2: Ch 1, turn, *3dc, 3ch, 3dc in ch3 sp (corner) Ch1. Repeat from * 3 times. Slipstitch with the second color to the first dc. Ch 1, turn.

Round 3: *3dc in ch1 sp, ch1, Corner into ch3 sp. Repeat 3-times from * Join with a slipstitch. Ch1. Turn.

Round 4 and all following rounds:Β 3dc, separated by 1 ch into all ch1 spaces. Corners in the ch3 spaces, changing colors every 2 rounds.

Feronia has 20 rounds, Persephone has 18 rounds.

After the desired amount of rounds fasten off.

Border:Β
Y
, 1dc in same space. Work the length of the square with 1dc in each 1ch space, 1dc between each cluster dc (not in the loops of the dc in the previous row).

Corner: Ch1, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc, ch 1 into ch3 space

Work around the square. Join with a slipstitch. Fasten off.

Work 2 more rounds the same way, in different colors.

Joining of the SquaresΒ
I
rc=”https://kristabellaweston.files.wordpress.com/2017/10/img_2845.jpg” class=”alignnone wp-image-4825″ height=”1936″ alt=”” width=”1936″> Dc 1, continue following myΒ picture/written tutorial you can findΒ here
&

g src=”https://kristabellaweston.files.wordpress.com/2017/10/img_2846.jpg” class=”alignnone size-medium wp-image-4828″ height=”360″ title=”” alt=”” width=”360″>Β  Join the Squares according to this

Now you’ll notice that the neck hole is a bit big ☺️

You can fix that by adding more Border rows.
In
ue on to 2 stitches before the point of the ‘V‘. There you have to crochet 5 together as follows:

Insert your hook into the next stitch. Yo, pull through, yo, pull through 2 loops. Yo, insert hook into the next stitch, yo, pull through, yo, pull through 2 loops.

Repeat for the next 3 stitches = 5 loops

Continue with the Border stich to the next ‘V’.Β

5 dc together. Continue with the Border Stich. Join with a slipstitch.

Add more border rows to achieve the desired size.

Feronia has 6 extra rows; Persephone has 4 extra rows.

The Picot Edging is a beautiful finishing touch 😍

Picots: Insert your hook between 2dc. Pull yarn through. Yo, pull through. 1sc.

*1 slipstitch in next space. Ch 3, slipstitch into the first ch. 1 sc. Repeat from * Join with a slipstitch. Fasten off.

Drawstring and TasselsΒ

Crochet a long chain. Thread it through the last Border row.

Cut 20 pieces of yarn (appr. 7″) Fold in half, and position them onto one end of your chain.

Secure by stitching through the loops of the chain.

Wrap a length of yarn around, near the top.

Secure the end.

You’re done! πŸ˜ƒ Well, except for the pesky ends…but let’s not think about that now. 😜

I hope you’re happy with this pattern. If you get stuck, have questions – please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m just a quick message away πŸ€—

Let me know how you’re getting along. I would love to hear from you. 😍

Done, Done, and Done! πŸ˜Ž

Hello and ‘Happy October’ my lovely friends! 😍

How is it October already? 😳 What happened to September? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

It seems like I blinked twice, and…poof….it was over. That can’t be good πŸ™ƒ

Even though I had the feeling that I was really busy…it seems like not much got done. So many ideas are still bouncing around in my head, and not much going on here on this blog of mine either πŸ˜•

Oh well…new month, sleeves are rolled up – watch out world! 😁

I did finish a few projects though πŸ€“ Well, except the ends…those darn things still have to be taken care of. 😞

Here is – finally-

1. The ‘Granny Square Cardigan’ 😁

The new sleeves are longer, and have a ‘thumb hole’ – it’s a bit cozier that way 😁

2. Feronia & Persephone – the oversized Ponchos

This ⬆️ is Persephone – named after the Goddess of Spring. She was forced to live in the Underworld, but allowed to visit her Mother Demeter once a year. During that time the trees were budding, flowers and crops started to grow. I thought the colors perfectly reflect her journey from the darkness to the light,  and the beauty of the world turning green again. 🌺

This is Feronia ⬇️  You already know all about her. 😊

I am going to write out the pattern for the Ponchos – as a matter of fact I’ll start right now. 😁

I hope to finish it tonight…if not you’ll see it first thing tomorrow morning!

Here’s to a fabulous and productive October! 🍾πŸ₯‚ Cheers!

Thanks for visiting πŸ’• I hope you stop in again soon!

Baking, Books, and a Few Random Things

Hello my lovely friends  πŸ’• I hope you’re having a great Monday! πŸ˜ƒ  No…I’m not being sarcastic – I really mean it.

But – just in case you need a little pick-me-up…here’s a little penguin doing the splits

Feel better? 😍 Ready for some shenanigans? πŸ˜‰

Here we go…

   1. This past weekend Tracy @ It’s a T-Sweets Day hosted another ‘Fantastic Bake-Along’. πŸ˜ƒ
This month’s recipe was generously shared by Kate @ Life, Tea and Everything
She made some scrumptious cookies from a recipe her beloved Grandma used to spoil her loved ones.

I did not participate this month, because cookies in the house result in my eating every single one, which results in pants not fitting (true story!  πŸ˜œ ) which results in having to buy new pants…which I hate.  So I just enjoyed dreaming about the deliciousness, while reading the recipe  πŸ€” I hope you will make some, and let me know how you liked them.

Here’s the wonderful recipe

Grandma Thompson’s Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup shortening
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup boiling water
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped nuts
6 oz chocolate chips

Important: Follow recipe closely as results depend greatly on order of addition of ingredients!

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Beat shortening, sugars, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add flour and salt. Mix well. Dissolve baking soda in boiling water. Add to flour mixture. Stir in rolled oats, nuts, and chocolate chips.

Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart. Flatten with fork dipped in cold water.

Bake 10-12 minutes. Makes approximately 7 dozen.

Thanks again to Tracy @ It’s a T-Sweets Day  for hosting this great event every month. If you like to join

Tami @ Tanglewood Knots

Kate@ Life, Tea and Everything

Brenna @ Crochet539

and other great bloggers in the Bake-Along just go to Tracy’s page, let her know, and she’ll include you in her list of bakers. I’m looking forward to future Bake-Alongs and hope you will join us.

     2. Books – Lately I’m having a really hard time finding books that grab (and hold) my interest. Especially new books in series I used to love are, more often than not, sleep aides. πŸ˜• Did you notice that too? Or am I becoming ornery? πŸ€“

A few weeks ago I did find a new (to me) series that I love. I read book 1 – 3 in less than 2 weeks. On some nights they kept me up longer than is good for me. πŸ˜›

If you’re interested – the series is called ‘The Southern Ghost Hunter Series‘* by Angie Fox. If you don’t mind spooky, ghostly appearances you should give it a try. ☺️ The characters are very likable, the ghosts not too terribly scary, and it’s set in the beautiful South.

I held off on book 4 only because I found a book by one of my favorite authors at a booksale. Somehow it had slipped through my radar…I hadn’t read it yet.

Aaaaaaand …. I didn’t finish it. I’m not going to name author or title – but, oh boy, what a doozy. Repeating paragraphs – once or twice I thought I had lost my page because the same sentences kept appearing 😳 and booooring. 😴

I didn’t even skip to the end to find out who the killer was…’cause I’m convinced the ‘victim’ didn’t actually die. He faked his death to get out of this story. πŸ˜‰

Now off to some ghost hunting…Book 4 is waiting. 😁

    3.  ‘Feronia’ the Poncho is (almost) finished 😍

I got a little carried away crocheting the squares, so it’s a bit too long…see

I’m horrible at ‘Selfie-taking’ πŸ˜† but you get the idea

I actually had to add a wide border to the neckline so it wouldn’t slide down, and pool by my feet πŸ˜›

Then I added ‘Picots’ to the neckline and bottom edge – Thank you, Tracy, for the idea πŸ’•

…a drawstring….just in case πŸ˜‰ – and tassels

Now I just gotta weave in the ends 😐 and I’m done!

    4. I started another Poncho – this time I’m keeping the squares smaller. As soon as that one is done, and actual Poncho length, I’ll write out the pattern and share it with you. πŸ€—

   5. I did do some baking yesterday. Usually I bake a raisin bread on Sundays…for a quick breakfast during the week. We did get a little tired of it, so I thought something different is in order. From time to time I like to experiment in the kitchen – so- inspired by my favorite chocolate- I made a Chili/Chocolate Chip bread. 😁

And it’s awesome (if I may say so myself…but hubby thinks so too πŸ˜‹) You don’t taste the Chili at first, just the chocolate, but it leaves kind of a pepper-y aftertaste.

I will share the recipe within the next few days. πŸ€“

   6. I mentioned yesterday that I’m going shopping – for more yarn 😜 It was quite a successful trip

And that is all for today 😊 Thank you so much for visiting and reading all the way down to here 😘

I’m sending you Love, Hugs, and Smiles πŸ’•

* I am not affiliated with the author/publisher/product mentioned here ☺️ I just really like the books and the yarn.

WIP ~ Wednesday – 2 Ponchos, a Cardigan, and a QuestionΒ

Hello my lovely friends πŸ’• Told ya I’d have something to show you today 😁 I’m a bit late…but at least it’s still Wednesday πŸ˜‰ I spent the day with my daughter – she had a -rare- day off, and I took advantage of that. 😍

So here’s what I got today…

1. Remember The Granny Square Cardigan? It was almost finished, just needed the ends woven in, when I decided I didn’t like the sleeves. They were very stiff – and looked it – and a tad too tight. Well, I finally got around to making new ones…well one πŸ˜‹ But I like it so much better that the second one won’t be too far behind.

But look for yourself…

I’d say it’s a good match. 😊

First I wanted to add some surface crochet ( tested it with a length of chain stitches)

…but I decided against it. πŸ€“

2. Poncho ‘Feronia’

Feronia is the name of an Autumn Goddess. Her festival, the Feroniae, was held on November 13th when the first fruits of the harvest were offered to her to ensure a bountiful crop the following year.
The colors remind me of Fall…so this Poncho really deserves the name. Don’t you think? πŸ™‚

3. Poncho ‘Maia’ – you saw this one last week. I decided to go with the flowers, and am now crocheting more of them for the other side.

The lovely Tami from Tanglewood Knots noticed that the green looks like the foliage of the flowers 😍 So the mismatched green spot is good for something πŸ˜‰

This one got it’s name from ‘Maia‘, a greek Spring Goddess. And since the colors and flowers are very ‘spring-y’ it’s only fitting. 😊

4. The Flower Blanket

Still making flowers for this one – actually I do have a bit more done than what it shows here…but the light is fading so I can’t get a good photo πŸ˜•

Now to the ‘question‘ part  πŸ˜

Let me start by saying that I have the sneaking suspicion that I will be crocheting for a long time to come, and I can’t possibly wear/store everything I’m making πŸ€“ And I know many of you are working hard at creating beautiful things.

So my question is – Do you have an online store? If yes – where? Etsy? Shopify? Somewhere else? Any suggestions, recommendations, tips? Anything you got is greatly appreciated! Thank you! πŸ€—

Alrighty…dinner time! 😁 Thanks for stopping in and reading aaaaallll the way down to here πŸ™‚

I hope to see you again soon!

Until then πŸ’•

A Few Random Things Β πŸ˜ŽπŸ¦„πŸŒ» – and a WIPΒ

Hello my lovely friends πŸ’• The Holiday week is coming to an end, and with it our ‘stay-cation’. Meh πŸ˜• We really enjoyed the last few days…Yep – hubby had a few days off πŸ˜ƒ and we checked off a few things on my ‘gotta-wanna-see-this’ list! 😎

You already know about the beautiful park that took me only 10 years to discover 😜 I guess it’s safe to assume that I’m no descendant of Lewis & Clark 😬

On Monday we went to the KC Zoo. It was a very hot and humid day, so we didn’t visit ‘Africa’ – which makes up about half of the terrain – but it still took us almost three hours to walk through the other half.

I know that you know what animals look like – so I won’t bore you with any pictures. πŸ˜‰

Well maybe a few nifty ones…

That’s how hot it was – the Dromedary seeking shelter in the shade

I bet he thought we had some treats for him 😊

These two were playing Catch on the ropes πŸ™‚

The ‘Poison Dart’ frogs are quite pretty, but awfully poisonous 😳 I just read that the poison of one frog can kill 20.000 mice….eeek

Well….you know πŸ˜‹

Then we went home, fired up the grill and enjoyed a fabulously delicious dinner with the kids 😍

The next day brought us wonderful chilly Fall-like temperatures….so we ventured out again. This time to a nearby Sunflower farm. 40 glorious acres of sunflowers 😍 It is truly spectacular! But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself…

Amazing, isn’t it?! πŸ˜ƒ

Her smile ⬆️ is so much prettier than mine ⬇️

The bees and butterflies love it there 😎

Nothing special going on today…yet 😁 We just got back from walking our ‘Angel Falls Trail’

This is a picture I took in the spring….everything is much greener now of course 😊

So – maybe – I will have a little time for my WIPs today πŸ˜ƒ

I finished this poncho last week

I used the ‘Lion Brand Mandala’* yarn. It comes in beautiful, inspiring color combinations ….I wanna try them all, right now 😜

Now I’m not a big fan of the green rectangle in the middle – so I made some flowers….

to cover up most of it. Like so

I think that’ll work 😊 What are your thoughts on this?

If you like the flowers, you might like the fact that I wrote a how-to for them a while back 😁 and you can find it here πŸ˜ƒ

πŸŒ»πŸ¦‹πŸπŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸŒ»πŸ¦‹πŸπŸ˜

So now we’re sitting on the patio with coffee and cake πŸ€— enjoying the sunshine, the buzzing of the bees, and the lovely flowers πŸ’œ

Oh…look what I just spotted…the last of the summer roses

They’re so beautiful…and very fragrant 😍

They reminded me of a lovely thought written by

George Eliot

Roses

You love the roses – so do I. I wish

The sky would rain down roses, as they rain

From off the shaken bush. Why will it not?

Then all the valley would be pink and white

And soft to tread on. They would fall as light

As feathers, smelling sweet; and it would be

Like sleeping and like waking, all at once!

Fun Fact: George Eliot is the pen name of Mary Anne Evans. She was an English novelist, poet, journalist, translator and one of the leading writers of the Victorian era. Her novels are known for their realism and psychological insight. [wikipedia]
Thanks for visiting and reading aaaalll the way down to here 😁 I feel like I was a bit all over the place today….I hope you enjoyed it anyway. πŸ€—
