Your ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿผ Advent ๐Ÿ•ฏ Calendar ๐ŸŽ„ ~ Day 24

Hello my lovely friends ๐Ÿ’• Here we are…at the last day and door of the Advent Calendar. I had so much fun peeking behind each door every morning, and hope you enjoyed it too! ๐Ÿ˜

Today I wanna share with you a lovely Christmas song. It’s ‘Silent Night’, sung by Heintje.

Ever since I was a little girl, this song, in this version, is a part of my Christmas Eve. My parents played it as we kids walked into the living room to find the trimmed tree, and the presents. ๐Ÿ˜Š And I and my family carry this tradition forth to this day.

Fun fact ~ when I was 7, 8 years old I was very serious about wanting to marry him. ๐Ÿ˜† Needless to say…that didn’t happen.

Can you blame me though? ๐Ÿ˜‰

So…without further ado – here is Stille Nacht โœจ

He does sing it in german. But he does have -excuse me for getting sappy- the voice of an angel. So I hope you enjoy it as much as I do ๐Ÿ˜

Have a wonderful, joyful, peaceful Christmas ๐Ÿ’•

Thinking Happy Thoughtsย

I’m so tired of all the negativity, hatred, and a certain type of commercials on TV ๐Ÿ˜‹.    Raise your hand if you feel the same way

That’s why I want to bring you daily (well, I’ll definitely try this daily thing ๐Ÿ˜‰) ‘Happy Thoughts’

First something of a personal note ~ I want to wish my parents a ‘Happy Anniversary’ ๐Ÿ’• They got married on this day in 1947! Since it was post-war Germany they had to make do with very little. Mom’s dress was hand sewn by her cousin …out of curtains! A real-life’Scarlet’ ๐Ÿ˜ She rented the veil from a neighbor ~ it cost her 40 Marks ๐Ÿ˜ณ and some oats and bread. Doesn’t she look beautiful?! ๐Ÿ’–

Since it’s national ‘World Smile Day’….here are some things that made me chuckle over my morning coffee ๐Ÿ˜„

Last night I read this awesome story on the ‘Mighty Girl’ FB Page! Parenting done right ๐Ÿ˜Š

“When Tom Burns’ daughter asked him if she could dress up as Han Solo for Halloween his answer was ‘Of course you could. That would be amazing. Why couldn’t you?” Her tentative response:”Well, I’m a girl.” To prove to his daughter that dressing up as a great character has nothing to do with gender this great Dad dressed up as Princess Leia. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Then there’s this….๐Ÿ˜‚

My husband would so be part of this! LOL

Alright my friends…I let you go now. Enjoy your Friday-Smile-Day! ๐Ÿ˜€

….and remember

I hope to see you tomorrow!

Happy National Teddy Bear Day

I would like you to meet ‘Benny’ ~ it is his day after all! ๐Ÿ™‚
I still remember the day…many, many moons ago…when this little cutie became my friend!
I was seven (told you it was a long time ago 😜), and the small town in Germany, where I grew up, held it’s annual street fair. We enjoyed the rides, the sounds, the food…cotton candy, yay!!!! …and then, there he was, my bear!😍
It took a while, but finally my Dad gave in…and the rest is history! Hehehe…kids can be oh so persistent!
Over the years I had to mend a few seams, give him a new pom~pom nose…but overall he’s still in good shape.
I love the little guy, and the memories he holds for me!
Alrighty then…here he is…

Isn’t he cute? 💜
Looking at him now, I just realized, that from an early age on I preferred the non-traditional, multicolored, a little goofy things life has to offer!

Well, that’s all for now! Except, I would love to see pictures of your favorite bear…please post here โฌ‡ Thank you! 😘
Love
Tina xoxo
