The last door! And what a beautiful one it is! Let’s see what’s hiding behind it…
It’s the Christmas Star π
The ‘National Geographic’ sent a photographer to Alaska to capture this historic, amazing event. π
To the right you can catch a glimpse of the beautiful Northern Lights!
Well, this is it! Christmas is here πππ πΌ Thank you so much for joining me for this daily countdown to Christmas Day π I hope you enjoyed the journey. I know I did!
Behind today’s door I have a delicious surprise waiting for you!
Chocolate Crinkle Cookies π I think Santa will be very happy tonight!
You can find the recipe for these yummy treats here .
A few tips:
– If you use a Standmixer, use the dough hook for the last step (mixing the wet and dry ingredients). Just trust me on this π
– The dough gets very sticky after a few minutes out of the fridge. So you have to work fast or hire a few helpers. I didn’t do neither, so I had to scrape dough from my hands with a knife π
– I bakes the cookies for about 13 minutes. The texture is more on the crunchy side…but not quite. I hope that makes sense π
– I rolled them in granulated sugar, since I didn’t have powdered sugar…and didn’t want to join the crowds at the grocery store today π But the author mentions that her Mom rolls them in granulated sugar. And what’s good enough for Mom, is good enough for me. π
Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you’ll be back for the opening of the last door! π
So apparently I’ve been trailing behind the actual calendar days π How long has that been going on? π I guess we’ll be opening 2 doors tomorrow π
But first things first…today’s – eh, yesterday’s – door
Wanna talk Christmas Carols? πΆ
Do you have a favorite? Which one makes you reach for the skip/off button on your listening device?
I go first π
Favorite is a tough choice π€
I’ll go with (for every day listening) –
‘I need a little Christmas’ by Johnny Mathis
and
‘Ugly Christmas Sweater’ by the-one-and-only Garth Brooks π€
Those two make me dance around the house every time!
For Christmas Eve –
Silent Night – I don’t have a favorite artist there π―
Now – which one makes me scramble to the skip/off button?
That’s easy…‘SantaBaby’ – I truly can’t stand listening to that one! I think this song is everything that Christmas is not/should not be about! π
So, that’s my list πΆπΆπΆ I’d love to hear your carol choices! π₯°
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you’ll be back for the opening of the remaining doors (remember…2 tomorrow π)
Sorry this is a tad late. I’m having a little trouble in the energy/motivation department. But, never mind that – we’re all here now, so let’s open this door π
Door #14 hid a beautiful Poinsettia π
And some great tips all around the gorgeous plant from country living.com* , like how to pick the perfect plant, how to care for them…who knew they need so much water π³
Happy plant-shopping! I hope you find a fabulous one! π
Thanks for stopping by and I hope that you’ll be back for the opening of the remaining doors! π πΌ

Another exciting Saturday night in our house π So let’s open Door #12…I have a feeling that whatever we find will be put to good use tonight π
A pretty mug to hold your favorite hot beverage while binging the Christmas movies. And what will that be? Hot Chocolate, Coffee, mulled wine?
Do you have a favorite Christmas movie? π
I do like a few of the newer Hallmark Christmas movies, but my absolute favorite is ‘White Christmas’ π¨βοΈπ¨ I watched it whenever it was on. No matter the time of day π So you can imagine my delight when I found out that it’s on Netflix! At least now I can somewhat control the time and frequency. π
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope that you will be back for the opening of the remaining doors! π πΌ
Happy Weekend-Eve! π Let’s see what surprise is behind Door #11…
Some fabulous Christmas crafts! I love the floating-ornaments decorations!
Last year I tried my hand at one, and am pretty happy with it. I do wish I had used a longer fork – oh well, too late now π It still looks kinda floaty, so I’m happy π
