I ๐Ÿ’œ Dandelionsย

Hello my lovely friends ๐Ÿ’• Welcome back ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

This post started out as a collection of ‘Random Things’, with just a tiny Dandelion seed blowing across it. ๐Ÿ˜Š But Dandelions are so amazing, I decided they deserve their own space. ๐Ÿ˜

So I set out and found some Dandelion-related funnies, pictures, inspirations, and a poem to share with you ๐Ÿ’œ

First…a funnyย

Such a lovely sentiment…

An artsy idea…ย

I think this would be an awesome gift for grandparents, aunts, uncles, if you let the wee ones ‘paint’ the flowers with their fingerprints ๐Ÿ˜

Here’s a craft idea…

(I found this on ‘crafttricks.com)

Here’s where I go in my dreams ๐Ÿ˜Šย

I’ve had this dream of a little house, surrounded by Dandelions, for a long time now… ย  ย  ย  Living on ‘My Dandelion Farm’ ๐Ÿ’•

ย Beautiful words about a beautiful flower ๐Ÿ˜Šย

Dandelion

I could tell you of a story, of this flower that I saw.
Growing in a little crack, this flower had it all.

It’s beauty got me thinking, how quicky we forget.
It isn’t where we come from, it’s that we never quit.

The struggles that this flower faced, no quiver nor a fall.ย
It rose above the chances,ย
through this crack that was so small.

The only will was life, and the chance that it may “be”.ย
Exist in ways intended, and truly live as free.

This dandelions beauty, gives me the strength to know,
content with where I’m rooted,
and will to always grow.

~ Ricky Louisย

I hope you enjoyed my ‘love letter’ to all Dandelions ๐Ÿ’œ

Have a wonderful rest-of-the-day ๐Ÿ˜˜

See you tomorrow!

Until then ๐Ÿ’•

Just A Few Random Things ๐Ÿฆ„

Hello my lovely friends    ๐Ÿ’•  It’s been a minute or two, hasn’t it? Actually – almost a week ๐Ÿ˜ณ Oh my! I’ve been a bit under the weather all week ๐Ÿค’ so it’s not been the most productive one. But…I’m back ๐Ÿค— and really glad you are too!

Today I just wanna show you a few random things I’ve thought about this past week…just to get back into the swing of it all. ๐Ÿ˜

1. A few months ago I bought some succulents, and on the way home a few of the leaves broke fell off. Luckily I had just read an article about ‘Propagading Succulents’ ๐Ÿ˜ƒ So I thought I give it a try. And guess what? It worked! ๐Ÿ˜Ž See….

Well, I guess I don’t have a picture from the beginning – this is about 3 weeks in ๐Ÿ˜Š It did slow down some after the initial ‘growth spurt’

But they are coming along nicely ๐Ÿ˜

2. While searching for the ‘Wildflower’ poem last week – you might remember – I came across these lovely words from Rustine Hamlett  ๐Ÿ’œ

This makes me smile every time…

 I Tried To Write A Poem…

i tried to write a poem
a poem just for You
but when i sought to find the words
like hummingbirds, they flew!

i tried to bake some cookies
a dozen, just for You
but before they hit the oven
we’d shared the yummy goo

i tried to paint a picture
a picture just for You
but the colors all ran out of line
like sunlight through the dew

i tried to plant a garden
wildflowers, just for You
but when i’d tilled and sown the soil
too tall for me they grew!

i tried to find a treasure
a treasure just for You
but when i looked inside the chest
i found a gift from You

i tried to tell a story
a mystery, just for You
but when i lost the villain’s trail
’twas You who found the clue

i tried to catch some fireflies
green starlight, just for You
but you smiled, and set the lightning free
when i brought my lamp to You

i tried to find the perfect shell
a conch shell, just for You
but all i found were little stars
who tickled like You do!

i tried to find an angel
an angel just for You
but when i told her who You were
she said “you can’t have two”

i tried to catch a falling star
a wish, made just for You
but when i did, You said “My dear,
all I’ve wished for is in youโ€ฆ”

i tried to write a poem
a poem just for You
this time i found all the words
to tell the world of You

Lovely, isn’t it? ๐Ÿ˜Š

3.  Walking through our garden this morning, I noticed how strong the Wisteria grew this Spring and Summer ๐Ÿ˜ Can you see how tightly it wove itself around the trellis?

4. Now a few things worth mentioning…but -sadly- without pictures (for now). This shall be corrected real soon ๐Ÿ˜

~ A few WIPs are almost done – mostly smalls. I’ve been working on double-layer dishcloths (worked in Tunesian Stitch in the round! ๐Ÿ˜ณ It’s supercool…wait ’til you see this (I might be a smidge overexcited ๐Ÿ˜‚)

~ I baked my bread for the ‘Fantastic Bake-Off’ ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿณ It’s fabulously delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹ I’ll show ya tomorrow.

~ I collected some hilarious things for tomorrow’s ‘Weekend Chuckle’ ๐Ÿ˜œ

So – that was my week in a quick review ๐Ÿ˜Š

I sure hope you enjoyed it a bit, and come visit again tomorrow! ๐Ÿค—

Until then ๐Ÿ’•

Wildflowers ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒพ๐ŸŒป

Hello my lovely friends ๐Ÿ’• Me again ๐Ÿ˜

Yesterday I showed you some pictures of my walk on the Nature Trail nearby. Well, ever since I posted the pictures of the Wildflowers I tried to remember a lovely poem about them. It just wouldn’t leave me alone … or come to me ๐Ÿ˜œ

But thanks to the ‘Hello Poetry’ website ๐Ÿ˜ You now get to (have to? ๐Ÿ™‚) read a poem.

First – the picture

And here are some lovely words from Elizabeth Cotton

Wildflowers ๐ŸŒผ

The sun

shook in laughter

 scattering

 tiny pieces

here

and

there

amidst the grass

and leaves

now swaying in the breeze

still laughing all the while

 ~ Elizabeth Cotton ๐Ÿ’œ

Beautiful, isn’t it? ๐Ÿ˜

I hope to see you tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜Š

Until then ๐Ÿ’•
