🦋 WIP 🦋 Wednesday 🦋

Hello my lovely friends 💕 Is it just me or is time marching along way too fast? It seems like we just carved the pumpkins 🎃….or at least played with the idea and looked at carved pumpkins 😜 And now here we are…way into November, and 45 days away from Christmas 😬

So I’ll get to today’s subject…before I waste any more of your time ☺️

Last month I made this Lollipop Cowl…

It was fun to make, and everyone seemed to be quite taken with it 😊 so I decided to make another one

Purple is the worst color to photograph 😕

In my search for the perfect buttons, I came across these beauties by ‘Lauren Birch’

But the cats and the Lollipops were too much – even for me 😉

So I decided to lose the Lollipops, and will add simple fringe instead. Pictures coming soon. 🙂

The next Lollipop Cowl was not meant to be either 🙃

It started well enough…

…but then boring Monday Night Football happened. My mind started wandering designing – and another Puzzle Poncho was born. Apparently I do like to piece things together 🤓

So I made more pieces

Then it looked like this

One more piece…

….for this

Now it’s getting somewhere…it needs something though 🤔 I’ll let you know what, once I figure it out.

In other news – I just opened an Etsy shop 😃 I’ve been putting it off and putting it off…but today was the day. This is the very first listing …

I’ve been making these adjustable headbands. My daughter already claimed one – let’s hope that many more will follow her example. 😆

Alrighty…that’s all…I’ll let you get back to what you were doing. 😊

Take good care of yourself 💕

That lollipop cowl is outrageously awesome. Have you worn it or is it a gift? I love how you turned a cowl into a poncho. Crochet is so cool that way. It’s almost modular.

Thanks a bunch 😊 The cowl will go into the shop- for now 🙂 But I think that it’ll live here permanently if it doesn’t sell fast 😆
You’re right….Crochet is really cool that way. I used to prefer knitting, and now realize that it’s much more…em… restricting. I love how I can imagine a thing and then make it happen.

Knitting can be modular, as well. It’s just not like legos modular. But just as you can crochet things together, you can knit things together. With knitting it isn’t just as obvious, from my personal experience. With crochet, you can see what can happen next by just adding something where there was nothing. With knitting, there is always a potential something or nothing, depending on what you decide to do with what you have, which is a little less literal in the moment of having an “open” fabric.

Congrats on the Etsy shop! I love the cat buttons, and I agree about Monday Night Football, although it was more depressing than boring in my family 😆. Can’t wait to see the finished poncho, I really like the yarn you used!

Thank you so much, Brenna 😍 Sorry about your game loss 😉 I think the Chiefs won the night the Poncho was born 😁
The yarn is a Lionbrand Mandala cake. I cut it into short pieces, and joined it as I went. It started to as more of an experiment/practice piece. But it’s quite simple, and I do like the way it came out. 😊 I’m happy that you think so too 😘

I actually have an etsy shop (sitting empty) and I had one doll for the longest and then I just deleted it. It’s been years and every year I keep saying I’m going to list again and make it more active. I still haven’t done it but maybe this is the year. 🙂 Good luck with yours. I wish you nothing but success.

☺️ Thank you, Yolanda 😘 You’re so sweet!
I had an Etsy store years ago…for my jewelry. That didn’t go well at all. Between you and me, I don’t have high hopes for this one either 😉 But I always feel that I need another online presence, and everyone seems to know Etsy. Plus it’s an inexpensive way to get the stuff out there on the internets 😜
