Lovely (felted) Spring Flowers blooming on your collar, hat & scarf πŸŒΊ

Hello my lovely friends πŸ’• How sweet of you to peek in πŸ€—

Spring is in the air….how excited are you? πŸ’ƒπŸ» The trees are showing a hue of fresh, pretty greens, Daffodils, Tulips , and Crocuses are popping up everywhere the bees are having a field day visiting all the Dandelions in the yard. I can’t wait to get to the garden center to buy all the gorgeous summer flowers! πŸŒ·πŸŒΊπŸŒΌπŸ’πŸŒΉπŸŒ» Since we gotta wait a few more weeks to do that, why don’t we make our own ‘Flower Garden’ to wear? 😍 Today I’m going to show you how…it’s really quite simple.

Here’s what you need

~1. Wool fluff/cloud/unspun wool in your favorite colors

~2. A Needle felting tool (I use the one with 5 needles)

~3. A Needle felting base

~4. Pin back blanks (optional)

~5. Needle and thread (optional)

Alright….let’s make some flowers πŸ˜€

~~~Start by picking out a small chunk of ‘fluff’, and arrange it on the base (I like to use the curly bits for the first layer)
~~~Take your felting tool, and start punching (great stress reliever πŸ˜‚) 8 -10 times should be enough for now. Add a second layer, felt some more…add as many layers as you like. *If you don’t punch too often between layers, you can take it apart easier- in case you don’t like the finished flower 😊)

 Once you’re happy with the look you can really go to town with your felting tool! Just remember- the more you punch, the flatter your flower will be.

~~~Now sew your flower onto the pin back blank. A cute button can add a little extra pizzazz.
Ready to spruce up your coat, a headband, a plain hat
If pins are not your thing, or you had so much fun that you made a lot of flowers, you can use them to brighten up a scarf . In that case you can skip the sewing-on-the-pin-back part, and instead felt the flowers right onto the scarf.
Cute, huh? 😍
Alrighty ~ this is it from me (for now) πŸ€—
I hope you found some inspiration – please share your ideas and photos with the rest of us!
See you soon  πŸ’•
~ Tina xoxo
