Thinking Happy Thoughts

I’m so tired of all the negativity, hatred, and a certain type of commercials on TV 😋.    Raise your hand if you feel the same way 

                                              

That’s why I want to bring you daily (well, I’ll definitely try this daily thing 😉) ‘Happy Thoughts’! 

First something of a personal note ~ I want to wish my parents a ‘Happy Anniversary’ 💕 They got married on this day in 1947! Since it was post-war Germany they had to make do with very little. Mom’s dress was hand sewn by her cousin …out of curtains! A real-life’Scarlet’ 😍 She rented the veil from a neighbor ~ it cost her 40 Marks 😳 and some oats and bread. Doesn’t she look beautiful?! 💖

Since it’s national ‘World Smile Day’….here are some things that made me chuckle over my morning coffee 😄

Last night I read this awesome story on the ‘Mighty Girl’ FB Page! Parenting done right 😊

“When Tom Burns’ daughter asked him if she could dress up as Han Solo for Halloween his answer was ‘Of course you could. That would be amazing. Why couldn’t you?” Her tentative response:”Well, I’m a girl.” To prove to his daughter that dressing up as a great character has nothing to do with gender this great Dad dressed up as Princess Leia. 😊

Then there’s this….😂

My husband would so be part of this! LOL
